The IITGN Library continues to provide access to library resources and offer services to support teaching, learning and research both physically and virtually in this challenging time. Here is the relevant information as to how the library continues to keep connected with the user community and assist in using the resources virtually.

Library provides an off- campus (remote) access to subscribed e-resources using RemoteXS service to the registered users – Faculty, Students and Staffs who is interested to get access. Users have to login in to RemoteXS using their Institute email id and password when attempting to access this service. Then Library has to approve it. On successful login into RemoteXS website, the user can browse desired resources to get full-text or simply access of the resource.

Due date for all types of reading materials issued to all categories of members has been further extended till 15th December 2021 It will be notified again, if further changes in due dates are made and the mode of how and when to return the borrowed materials. Until then, it is requested to use these materials and keep them safe with yourselves.
Library e-resources viz e-journals, e-databases, e-books are accessible 24/7 on campus and off campus.

Library has put together a list of major resources relating to COVID-19 which are freely accessible from anywhere. The updated list is available here.
Books: If you are on the campus and would like to physically visit the library and borrow some of the books from the collection, please use the library online catalogue to search for the book you require and then visit. If you are presently off the campus, please let us know if you need a copy of the specific chapter from a book that is available in the library, we will scan one or two chapters & email it to you for your personal use.
The list of Journals, Magazines & Newspapers subscribed by the library is available here. Many of them are now available in electronic form for access. Do try to use them.
Please continue to recommend new books required for your teaching, learning & research, over the email at libraryacquisition@iitgn.ac.in We will check and process for procuring.
The list of books recommended as 'Course Readings' for entire semester and remaining part of the semester are available here. Effort is being made to make some of these available in electronic form wherever available and feasible. You are welcome to request for a scanned copy of a chapter or two from the book available in the library collection or a copy of the book, if available in Short Loan.
Library is continuing to provide Inter Library Loan of Books, Documents Delivery Services (article delivery), Plagiarism check, Grammarly services. Please send your requests for availing these services at libraryservices@iitgn.ac.in

Your final and approved, signed version in pdf format of Master’s or Doctoral Thesis along with recording of the defense may be sent to librarian@iitgn.ac.in with a copy to all concerned or as advised.
