Being situated in a residential campus, Library at IIT Gandhinagar has the privilege to serve a much wider community. The library has come up with different services and activities over the time to build a successful connection with the overall IITGN family, as well as the neighboring areas.

• Family Membership: Library extends its services to the family members (parents, spouses & children) of faculty, staff and students of IITGN. Sign up by filling up the form.
• Reading resource of general interest: The books of general interests, like Children Collection, Hindi Collection, Fiction, Biographies & Autobiographies, Career Development etc. are carefully selected and made a part of the library collection.
• Events and Activities: Events like Library Open House, celebration of various important days are held within the library premises and the community involvement in the same is highly encouraged.
• Collaboration: Interested community members, who are willing to conduct workshops/talks/sessions for the IITGN community, are encouraged to collaborate with the library and we will provide a platform for them.
• Book Exchange: Leave a Book - Take a Book! The IITGN Community members who have finished reading a personal copy of a book and are willing to share the same with others may leave it at the Library, Mini Library and Academic Block 8(dedicated book shelf near the Cafeteria) and the same way pick a book which is left by others in the community.
• Book donation to the library in Basan: Library at IIT Gandhinagar has been donating books to enrich the collection in the library of the adjacent village Basan. If you have any books you would like to donate to their library, kindly get in touch with us at librarian@iitgn.ac.in.
