• Library Services for Alumni

    Library at IIT Gandhinagar extends its services to all the Alumni Members, who are an integral part of the Institute Community, and strives to continue to assist you in your academic and professional career, wherever you go, and wherever you are. We offer access to our print collection, e-resources (with limitation) and provide you a range of services in person and virtually. It will be our endeavor to stay connected and serve to meet your information needs.

Membership

All registered members of the Alumni Association (holding membership card) by default are entitled to use the library resources and services. In addition, those who would like to use the borrowing facility will be required to apply for it annually using this form and pay an annual membership fee.

This serves as one-point access to search and locate the library collections in print.


Resources

Library has an ever growing collection of both print and digital resources available for the faculty to explore and make best use. If the required book is not part of the library collection, you are encouraged to recommend the same.

  • Borrowing
    Privileges

    ● You can borrow a maximum of 4 books at a time for 30 days.
    ● One-time renewal of these borrowed books for another 30 days by email will be entertained.

    Getting research papers from other libraries in our network which are not part of our journal collection.





  • Reference and Information Services

    Answering any questions you may have in using the library, library resources, services and assisting them in person or virtually.




  • Computers, Copying, Printing, Scanning

    Library has a good number of computers for you who want to walk into the library and use both, in the main and mini library. In addition, photocopiers, printers, and scanners are also available all the time when the library is open.


Alert Services

Number of current alert services are provided from time to time, including the following ones.

● New Arrivals: A weekly list of new books added to library collection usually sent at the beginning of every week.
● IITGN Research Publications: A weekly list of research papers & other publications authored by IITGN faculty, students, researchers and others sent in the beginning of every week.
● Author of the Week: A well-known author whose books from the library collection would be of interest to wider audience (IITGN Community) is identified and information about his/works are shared on a weekly basis.
● Book of the Week: A popular title which will be of interest to a wider audience (IITGN Community) is identified and information about the same is shared on a weekly basis.


Other Library Services

● Digital Repository : Provides access to the research publications (bibliographic information with abstract) authored by the IITGN community.
● Research Publications : A year wise list of research publications authored by the IITGN Community with links and in most cases to full text of papers.
● Pathfinders (Bibliographies): A list of books on a wide variety topic available in library collection.
● Book Exchange: Leave a book and Take a Book: A facility through which you can share/donate your personal books with IITGN Community.
● News,Events & Exhibitions: To keep you informed of the ongoing activities in the library.
